SGS issues grid-connection certification series for YUNT Power's energy storage inverters in Spain and other regions

    Recently, SGS, the internationally recognized testing, inspection and certification organization, awarded YUNT Digital Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "YUNT Power") a series of grid-connection certifications for its energy storage inverters, including Spanish standards UNE 217001:2020-10, UNE 217002:2020, and NTS V2.1 Type A, B, C & D. The certification ceremony was attended by Zhou Quan, Deputy Director of SGS Renewable & Advanced Energy China, Yi Xiaoguang, General Manager of YUNT Power, and other distinguished guests from both parties.

Europe is a crucial market for the new energy industry, with a well-established photovoltaic market foundation, rapid development, large market capacity, and a relatively standardized industry regulatory system.
The NTS V2.1, jointly released by Spain's REE and AELEC, is the latest grid code standard. It imposes stringent restrictions on grid-connected generators regarding frequency, voltage control, fault ride-through characteristics, etc., making it one of the most challenging grid codes among current global grid-connection standards. The standard defines testing procedures for inverters and additional components (CAMGE), such as factory control systems, and emphasizes the importance of certifying and validating the functional quality of equipment used for grid connection and support, aiming to verify and certify the entire power installation.
According to the standard, Spanish power stations are classified into four categories (A, B, C, D) based on grid-connection voltage and capacity. Class D power stations require a grid-connection voltage ≥110KV and capacity >50MW. Testing for Class D power stations covers high/low voltage ride-through, frequency ride-through, under-frequency power boost, and other items. If an inverter passes the Class D power station tests, it can be applied to all scenarios.
Additionally, the standard requires that inverters must operate normally in saline-alkali soils, metal dust environments, as well as high and low temperature regions. Therefore, the standard mandates that products pass extreme low-temperature tests, ensuring they can work properly under cold conditions while being fully applicable to both tropical and cold regions.
